The Center for Disability and Elder Law has expanded its services to Austin.
The Austin Senior Legal Assistance Clinic takes place the second Thursday of each month at BUILD Chicago, at 5100 W. Harrison.
The clinic operates by appointment only; seniors should call (312) 376-1880 ext. 22 to see if they’re eligible.
Legal staff and volunteers offer basic legal services, including powers of attorney and simple wills, as well as intakes and document review for a full range of civil legal services including 1) simple divorces 2) elder financial abuse 3) collections defense 4) consumer fraud 5) real estate, and 6) landlord/tenant issues.
