The Center for Disability and Elder Law (CDEL) hold a free monthly legal clinic in Austin the second Thursday of the month at BUILD, 5100 W. Harrison St.

The center was founded in 1984 by The Chicago Bar Association to provide pro-bono legal services to low-income residents of Cook County who are seniors and/or persons with disabilities.

Legal services provided through the center include collections and consumer fraud; estate and end of life planning, including powers of attorney, living will declarations and simple wills; and financial exploitation and abuse.

If you would like to request legal assistance call (312) 376-1880, ext. 22 and leave a message with your name and phone number.

Someone will call you back to get more information to determine if you are eligible for services and schedule an appointment.

If the center can’t assist you, it will provide you with a referral to another organization or service that may be able to help.
