The Austin Community Long-Term Flood Recovery Group will hold a resource event from 9 a.m to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 7, at BUILD, 5100 W. Harrison St.
Community groups as well as city, state and local officials will be giving information to flood victims regarding their recovery efforts from the June 29th – July 2nd flood.
FEMA and the U.S. Small Business Administration will have specialists available to assist flood victims with the application process and explain the appeal opportunities, so bring your paperwork, such as receipts and contractor’s estimates of work.
The deadline to apply for financial assistance through FEMA is Oct. 16.
Some cleaning supplies also will be available.
