The 11th Police District is hosting a teen dating violence event, “Youth Break the Cycle.” The community event will be held at 4:30 p.m. Friday at Bethel Evangelical Lutheran Church, 4215 W. End St.

Free snacks, resources and chalk painting will be among the activities along with goodie bags provided by WE CARE 2 Agency, a nonprofit group that donates gift bags to cancer patients and people experiencing domestic violence in the community.

The event is hosted by the 11th District’s domestic violence subcommittee. February is national teen dating violence awareness month.
