The Austin Chamber of Commerce has a new satellite office that will open Monday.

The new office, at 5400 W. Madison St., will be open three days a week: on Mondays and Wednesdays from 1 to 5 p.m., and on Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

There are three new part-time employees to help business owners apply for grants and other funding opportunities, said Crystal Dyer, a special event travel adviser and president of Gone Again Travel & Tours.

“Business owners can call anytime and ask any questions,” Dyer said.

The number is (312) 813-6047.

The chamber is also in the process of hiring a new executive director, with the goal of having that person start April 1, Dyer said.

The business group is interested in adding more executive board members as well as looking for volunteers to serve on the chamber’s committees.

“We’re going to have a very robust year and .. be able to have a full-serve, 360 operation,” said Dyer, who expects to soon unveil a new web site that is more user friendly and will help spread the word about various events in the community.
