The Chicago Action Alliance will host a panel discussion on the power and limits of protesting on Saturday, Feb. 25 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Third Unitarian Church, 301 N. Mayfield.
Veteran organizers will discuss how to plan and participate in a protest in a way that is effective, inclusive and safe while engaging in direct actions.
A Q & A period will follow as part of “Does Protesting Really Work?”
Panel speakers are Angelica Magana of Rise and Organize; Mrinalini Chakraborty of Women’s March-Illinois; Carolyn Ruff of Black Lives Matter Women of Faith; Lashawn Littrice of Black Lives Matter Women of Faith; and John Beacham of ANSWER Chicago.
