The Coalition of African American Leaders is holding a community meeting Jan. 12 to reinforce its commitment to the thousands of African Americans who need work.
The goal of the “Movement for Justice and Jobs Now!” meeting is to demonstrate that jobs and economic development are a top priority for the community and one that needs to be pursued until there are quantifiable results.
Businessman Ed Gardner will be speaking at the event.
It starts at 2 p.m. at the New Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church, 4301 W. Washington Blvd.
