The Moo & Oink at 4848 W. Madison St., as well as a South Side store, have closed due to a seasonal slowdown in sales, while talks continue with a potential new buyer or buyers that would allow the longtime Chicago grocery stores to reopen, the company told the Chicago Sun-Times Wednesday.
“The [Racine and Madison] stores are locked in order for us to conserve costs, but we are continuing talks to keep Moo & Oink alive and to preserve jobs,” Chicago attorney Bruce de’Medici told Sun-Times reporter Sandra Guy.
