Don’t miss your chance to weigh in on the Cook County Board of Commissioners 1st District race, which features incumbent Earlean Collins and challenger Ron Green. There’s also a choice to make in the 7th congressional District, where seven-term U.S. Rep. Danny K. Davis is being challenged by Republican Mark M. Weiman and Independent Clarence Desmond Clemons.

In other local contests, Democrat incumbents are running unopposed: State Sen. Kimberly A. Lightford (District 4), state Rep. La Shawn K. Ford (District eight) and state Rep. Camille Lilly (District 78).

The Cook County Clerk’s office has a list of polling places and can help you determine where you must go to vote.

If you’re still trying to decide which candidates to support, you’ll find plenty of information in the Chicago Tribune and Chicago Sun-Times’ voting guides.

Here’s who the Tribune and Sun-Times have endorsed: Green candidate Lawless (over Democrat Collins) in the Cook County Board race, and Democrat incumbent Davis over GOP challenger Weiman and Independent Clemons.

Neither newspaper endorsed Illinois House members Ford and Lilly or Illinois Senate member Lightford, since they have no competition in today’s election.
